If you like fruit juices, either make fresh juice at home or use readymade drinks that are labeled as unsweetened or pure. Besides fruits, you have given an opportunity to eat different vegetables in canned, frozen or fresh form.
Do not add the salt while using vegetable, including spring onion, cucumber, tomatoes, salad, broccoli, courgettes, cauliflower, leeks, mushrooms, cabbage, carrots, swede, peppers, turnip, onion, sweetcorn, salad and tomatoes etc.
While following the safer detox seven days plan, use beans in form of brown lentils, green lentils, red lentils, pinto, black eye, butter, red kidney, cannellinia and haricot. Cod, mackerel, trout, prawns, halibut, swordfish, tuna, haddock, crab, salmon, plaice, red mullet, monkfish, lemon sole, dover sole, lobster and crabs are also part of detox plan.
Things to Avoid While Following Detox Plan
Here are some of the foods that should not be part of your diet:
- Chicken, burgers, sausages, turkey, red meat, milk, cream, eggs, cheese, margarine, butter
- Food containing wheat like bread crumbed foods, battered, quiche, pastry, pies, biscuits, cakes, croissants, bread and cereals.
- Moreover, chocolates, jam, sweets, sugar, snacks and salted nuts are also not allowed
- Avoid tea, coffee, alcohol, ready meals, takeaways, readymade sauces, processed foods, salt, squashes, drinks, mayonnaise, salad dressing and pickles
Breakfast Detox Plan
For women, it is important to follow healthy detox plan that can cleanse the body without effecting on health. Select one of the below mentioned breakfast to get required nutrition:
- Fruit salad, oats and yoghurt
- Porridge with honey, raisins, banana and yoghurt as toppings
- Yoghurt and fresh fruits
- Yoghurt and muesli, frozen or fresh fruits along with muesli (made of dried nuts, seeds and oats)
- Smoothie that is made up of frozen or fresh fruits
- Fruit salad, oats and yoghurt
Detox Diet Lunch Plan
- Oat cakes and lentils or vegetable soup
- Salad, sweetcorn potato and tuna
- Rice cakes and Mediterranean salad. You can add avocado, fresh basil, tomatoes, black pepper and rocket with rice cakes
- Grilled cod and jacket potato or steamed vegetables
- Prawn salad, avocado served with lemon juice and balsamic vinegar
- Crudites and Tzatziki of cucumber, garlic, natural yoghurt served with oatcakes and crudites
- Crudités and guacamole that is made from tomatoes, chilli, lemon juice and avocado with oatcakes
Dinner Detox Diet
Just like the breakfast and lunch, a variety of dinner detox diets are offered so that you can follow seven day plan without any difficulty.
- Use jacket potato with steamed vegetables and baked salmon
- Stir fry vegetables like beansprouts, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, spring onions and bok choi in olive oil, ginger and garlic. Chinese vegetables can be taken with brown rice.
- To make prawn and tuna diet, fry leek, courgette, peppers, mushrooms and onions in olive oil. Add prawns when the vegetables are lightly browned. Cook it for a few minutes. Mix tuna canned, black pepper, canned tomatoes and puree of tomatoes in water to boil. Simmer it till the sauce gets thickened. Now take the meal with rice noodles.
- To make sweet and sour recipe, add chopped vegetables like mushrooms, baby sweetcorns, peppers and onion in a pan to fry. Mix the canned tomato, pineapple, tomato puree, honey, white vinegar and boil the ingredients to get a thick sauce. Take sweet and sour vegetables with brown rice.
To get desired results from detox diet for weight loss, make it your routine to exercise and raise the sweat through jogging, boxing and hot yoga. Exercises are meant to improve the lymph flow and blood circulation which result in sweating out the harmful liquids from the body.
